Are you and educator? I certainly agree that school is a students job. I often remind them that a carpenter does not show up to work without a hammer and that a pencil or pen is the tool of their trade. However, with response to your views on students being predisposed to have the discipline to learn and all students reading from the same level book, causes me to ask if you are an educator? I believe that all student should read from the same text and that it should be highly structured. I believe that student need to be guided and if they are not than they will never have the discipline to learn.
